In celebration of 50 years of Bangladesh and the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee this unique British Bangladeshi cultural event will take place at the iconic Sheldonian Theatre at Oxford University.
Led by the world renowned Oxford Professor Denis Noble and the Oxford Trobadors and the top bangali artist in the UK.
This concert will be performed reciting Begali baul songs of Shah Abdul Karim in fusion with European folk songs.
The event organised by the Celebration of British Bangldeshi Culture (CoBBC) and the Oxford Trobadors and will be narrated by His Excellecy Anwar Choudhury.
This will be the first time bengali folk songs have been celebrated in this way and at at this level.
Earlier in the afternoon Professor Noble will also give a talk and tour of Oxford University to families and children who aspire to study at Oxford.
